Product Review: POWERCAT for Cats and Kittens
As many cat owners would know, POWERCAT is not new to the market. However, there has recently been an increase in demand that had us looking into its nutritional value, and how much cats dig its taste.
About POWERCAT
POWERCAT comes from Malaysia, from a company called Adabi Consumer Industries. Quite unknown when compared to the likes of Pedigree and Royal Canin. But it is interesting to note that since Malaysia is largely a Muslim country, you can expect that it offers HALAL cat food. This might be an important information for cat owners who are practicing the same religion. For those who are very particular about organic products, you’d be pleased to know that since it is HALAL approved, it means they don’t add articial flavorings or preservatives to their product.

Verdict
Powercat Kitten is tasty enough to be preferred by most kittens, and the nutrional value it promises assures quality food for your pet. If you don’t mind that the primary ingredient is not meat (it’s corn), then Powercat is a bang for your buck if you find other brands like Royal Canin and Orijen too expensive. In our personal opinion, since your kitten is still growing and developing its body, it might be more appropriate to feed meat-based meals from time to time.

Taste-wise, it a popular cat favorite. It is a good choice especially during the days when your cat is being picky. However, we’ve also heard reports if its high sodium content, so be sure to check with your veterinarian if this is the diet most appropriate for your cat.

Conclusion
While there would be almost no difficulty in switching your cat to POWERCAT diet because cats are attracted to their flavor, you might still want to check with your veterinarian if its the best option for your cat’s diet. It is also important that you switch it up (for example, use a different brand, or combine it with natural food, etc.) Dry cat food is naturally high in carbs, and a well-balanced diet is one of the keys to their long and healthy life.
